About www.toysheik.net
I always used to think how positive it would be to go into business for myself and determine my own future. A few years ago I read a book called 'A Guide to Being a Good Citizen'. I picked it up because of all the cool retro art in it but after reading it thoroughly, I thought to myself why can't I work in a place where people live and work by values similar to the ones outlined in this book. Soon afterwards I read eBay’s community and values I realized I had to leave my current job and go into business for myself. I opened an eBay store and soon I realized I would never go back to my old job again. The values are simple: We believe people are basically good. We believe everyone has something to contribute. We believe that an honest, open environment can bring out the best in people. We recognize and respect everyone as a unique individual. We encourage you to treat others the way you want to be treated. Deciding to sell action figures was no gamble or well thought-out strategy. I simply took an old passion and hobby and turned it into a business. As a collector I loved the fact that I could reconnect with my youth by collecting Star Wars memorabilia. In the early 90’s, I started trading and selling at trade shows and conventions and then on my own website. I'm often asked for advice about what to sell and my answer is always the same -- sell what you know and what you enjoy. Sell anything and everything related to your passion including any services you may be skilled at related to that passion. At Toysheik, I pride myself in being an honest seller and offering great merchandise at great prices. I find it extremely enjoyable to be able to reconnect people to something from the past or occasionally making someone’s birthday or holiday a little extra special. I use the web as a way of community building and conducting business honestly worldwide. I'm constantly expanding on my lines and adding new ones. With our webstore, I am able to reach out to audiences I was never able reach before on my own. The best part of my job is I enjoy it and occasionally take the toys out of their package and play. All the best, Henry
